Our BREEAM Water Leak Detection Systems have been designed to help you earn BREEAM credits. Our flow-based water leak alarms are BREEAM-compliant (so once inspected they can earn you WAT credits – more information on that can be found below), and they are also capable of automatically detecting the presence of a leak throughout a building’s water supply. Once an abnormal high flow rate is detected an alarm will be raised.

When a BREEAM assessor conducts a successful evaluation, our Water Leak Detection Systems will assist you in earning the following WAT credits:

In-use (existing) buildings:

WAT01 – water monitoring (6 credits)
WAT07 – leak detection system (4 credits)
WAT08 – Leak prevention (2 credits)

New building projects:

WAT02 – water monitoring (one credit)
WAT03 – water leak detection (2 credits)

What Are BREEAM Water Leak Detection Systems?

A BREEAM Water Leak Detection System is a specialized solution that has been designed to a specification set by BREEAM. Our alarm panel has been designed with these BREEAM specifications in mind, and can automatically monitor and detect abnormal water usage patterns across a building’s water supply network. They are therefore integral to achieving compliance with key BREEAM standards, including Wat 02 (Water Monitoring) and Wat 03 (Water Leak Detection and Prevention).
