Single Zone Water Leak Detection Alarm Type LD1 and LD1V
Understanding the role and application of LD1/LD1V in preventing water damage
We designed the LD1 and LD1V Water Leak Detection Alarm with office refurbishment and homes in mind. You can easily install the leak detection equipment in any small area near a water supply. This makes them ideal to detect leaks for tea points areas, vending machines and toilet blocks.
How LD1/LD1V Water Leak Detectors Operate to Detect, Alert, and Prevent Water Damage
A qualified electrician can easily fit the Water Leak Alarm panel in a discreet location. A water detection cable is then extended from the Alarm panel to the area that requires monitoring. When water touches the detection cable, it triggers the Alarm panel to emit an audible and visual alarm.

Advantages of using LD1/ LD1V water detection alarm
Our water leak detectors are both cost-effective and discrete. The LD1 and LD1V are entry-level solutions to water leak detection that offer simplicity alongside excellent functionality.
What is the difference between the LD1 and LD1V?
The LD1V Water Detection Alarm can have the option of valve control. When a water leak is detected, the Alarm panel will turn off the ball-valve. This will shut off the water supply to the affected area and prevent further damage. For further information follow this link on how a ball-valve works.
Why we use Actuated Ball Valves
CMR Electrical were one of the first Water Leak Detection companies in the UK to use Actutated Ball Valves. Read this article to discover the Benefits of Actuated Ball Valves in water detection systems. Find out why we rarely use Solenoid Valves.
Detailed description of the LD1 and LD1V
We designed the LD1V alarm to fit into a standard electrical double socket back box, making it ideal for use in areas such as tea points, kitchens, or vending machines. The alarm includes 3 meters of interconnecting cable and 5 meters of water detection cable, and measures 149mm x 88mm x 22mm.
When the LD1V water leak dection alarm detects a leak, it can shut off the water valve. and includes a shutdown override feature that allows you to restore the water supply while the detection cable dries. The alarm also comes with a normally open volt-free contact for onward signaling to a BMS or existing alarm system.
