How does the DLD Distance Measuring Water Leak Detection System work?

Each DLD250 sensor continuously monitors up to 250 metres of water leak detection cable. When water comes into contact with the sensing cable, the sensor automatically calculates the distance to the leak and displays this value in metres.

The DLD16 Distance Measuring Water Leak Detection System identifies which of the 16 monitoring zones is in alarm, allowing maintenance engineers to quickly locate the affected DLD250 sensor. The displayed distance then directs engineers to the approximate position of the leak along the sensing cable, dramatically reducing the time required to locate and repair the source of the water leak.

Intelligent Distance Leak Location

Each zone is monitored by a DLD250 intelligent leak detection sensor. The self-calibrating DLD250 sensor continuously monitors the sensing cable. When water contacts the cable, the sensor calculates the approximate distance to the leak and displays this value in metres.

This makes the DLD16 distance measuring water leak detection system particularly suitable for protecting long pipe runs where conventional water leak detection systems can only identify the affected zone.

Building Management System Integration

The 16 Zone Water Leak Detection System includes volt-free relay outputs for seamless integration with Building Management Systems (BMS), allowing water leak alarms and fault conditions to be monitored remotely.
